Who is responsible for your data
TheWayITis, VAT BE0846788521, Rue de Suède 8, 1060 Brussels, Belgium, is the controller of the personal data collected on this shop. This policy explains which data, why, and how we protect it, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Which data we collect, and why
When you order, we ask for your name, email address, delivery and billing addresses and phone number. The name and addresses are used to deliver your order and issue the invoice; the email address to confirm the order and keep you informed of its progress; the phone number to reach you if there is a problem.
When you write to us through the contact form, by email or on WhatsApp, we use your message and your details to reply. If you create an account, we keep its information so that you can follow your orders.
If you subscribe to our newsletter, we use your email address to send it, with Odoo's marketing tool. Every message contains an unsubscribe link.
On what basis we use them
We process your data to carry out your order, meet our legal obligations (accounting, invoicing) and answer your requests. For the newsletter and any other commercial communication, we ask for your consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
Who we share them with
We do not sell your data. It is only accessible to the people and providers who need it: Odoo, which hosts the shop and provides the newsletter tool, and the carrier who delivers your parcel.
If you write to us on WhatsApp, your message and phone number are also processed by WhatsApp (Meta), under its own privacy policy.
This shop's fonts are loaded from Google's servers: when you display a page, Google receives your IP address and technical information about your browser.
How long we keep them
We keep order and invoicing data for the legal retention period of accounting documents, which is seven years. Messages you send us are kept for as long as needed to deal with your request. Your account stays active until you ask for it to be deleted, and your email address stays on the newsletter list until you unsubscribe.
How we protect them
Your data is stored on password-protected systems accessible to a limited number of people. Exchanges between your browser and the shop are encrypted (HTTPS).
Your rights
You can ask for access to your data, its rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and portability, and object to its processing. Write to us at contact@thewayitis.be: we reply within one month. You can also change your information by logging in to your account.
If you believe your rights are not being respected, you can lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Authority (Belgium).
Cookies
This shop currently uses only the cookies it needs to work. They are listed in our cookie policy (page /cookie-policy).
Third-party sites and minors
If you leave this shop for a third-party site, this policy no longer applies: read that site's policy. The shop is for adults and businesses; we do not offer services to children.
Data breach
If a data breach presented a high risk to your rights and freedoms, we would inform you without undue delay, as the GDPR requires, and report it to the Data Protection Authority.
